RM Group is seeking 2 x Mechanical Fitters to join the maintenance team working night shift at a processing facility. The role entails being responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and to ensure minimal downtime and the smooth operation in fast paced environment. These are night shift positions paying $74.10p/h Super (working 12-hour shifts) earn $889.20 per day. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and mechanical systems. Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures. Assist with installation, relocation, and modification of machinery and equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to increase equipment reliability. Work collaboratively with production and other maintenance staff to minimize equipment downtime. Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment (preferably food processing). Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering Have or willing to obtain Q Fever vaccination Strong mechanical aptitude with skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practices. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
